The New Focus ST Showcases Dynamic Performance

It’s the moment that everyone has been waiting for. The reveal of the latest Ford Focus ST!

Revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Ford Focus ST impressed with its racy looks and added technological features.

The new ST features new chassis control technologies, re-tuned suspension and more refined and balanced steering.


The Focus ST boasts a 184kW, 2 litre EcoBoost engine that can propel the sleek looking car to 100km/h in 6.5 seconds. The engine is turbocharged and includes twin-independent variable cam timing technology to deliver 360 Nm of torque and a max speed of 248km/h.

The new car also includes the first Auto-Start-Stop engine offered in an ST – making this the most fuel efficient ST yet!

Technologically, the ST has class-leading driver assistance technologies built in, including the SYNC 2 in-car connectivity system. The Electronic Power Assisted Steering as well as other electronic vehicle control systems have been adapted to ensure that they meet the specific sporting requirements. There is also Cross Traffic Alert to assist in reversing and the Active City Stop collision avoidance system – to ready the brakes if the ST detects danger ahead.


The ride also has a sports suspension system delivering an even more dynamic performance than ever before.

Other features that add to the technological and safety advances in the new ST include a new Electronic Transitional Stability function, the revised Electronic Torque Vectoring Control settings and power delivery refinement under hard acceleration.

The style and appearance of the new Focus ST features a sportier look and aggressive styling with an exclusive colour being released just for this ST – Stealth Grey. The interior is cockpit-inspired and has been simplified, while still including maximum technological innovation.
