The new Ford Transit will offer businesses a two-tonne version of the popular Van of the Year, the Transit Custom. The new van boasts a total load volume of 14,800 litres and carrying capacity of 2.2 tonnes. This makes this van the ideal transporter for transporting large and heavy goods! The Transit also comes in a chassis cab model so that it can be fitted to precisely fit customer’s needs.

The Ford Tourneo, another world-class commercial Ford is taking the people-mover revolution a step further, offering vans that can accommodate 12 or 18 passengers – according to client’s needs.

Ford is excited to offer customers more choice than ever before. The Transit is Ford’s third major commercial vehicle in Africa. The Transit and Tourneo have won many awards including Van of the Year (2013) for the Transit as well as Best Large MPV in CAR Magazine’s Top 12 awards for the Tourneo.

The Ford Ranger XL-Plus was another heavy-duty commercial vehicle launched this year. It is an even tougher version of the already reliable and tough Ranger – however, the XL-Plus is tailored for the rigorous demands of the mining and construction industries.

The future is going to be even brighter for the Ford commercial range with the introduction of the Transit Connect scheduled for 2015. The Connect will be a compact panel van suitable for small businesses. Another people-mover addition includes the Tourneo Connect MPV, which will seat between 5 and 7 passengers. The Transit Connect will feature a 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine and 6-speed while the Tourneo Connect will be available in 2 trim levels – Ambiente and Trend, both powered by the award-winning 1-litre EcoBoost engine, also with 6-speed transmission.
