Ford Everest Now Produced Locally

Posted: October 7, 2016

Yesterday marked another great milestone and kick-started a new era for the Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) with the very first customer-ready Ford Everest SUV at the Silverton Assembly Plant in Pretoria.

“The start of local production for the Ford Everest is another major milestone for FMCSA’s Manufacturing division in implementing Ford’s Global Facility and Process Standards.” – Ockert Berry, Vice President of Operations.

With an expanded range of this sophisticated and beloved SUV rolling out in November this year, the Ford Everest is set to make an even greater impact on the Southern African market. Be the first to test-drive an Everest 2.2 later this month. Book your test drive now and we’ll be sure to let you know when it hits our showroom.

The world-class Silverton Assembly Plant has already proven its worth by manufacturing the Ford Ranger for export to 148 different markets in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Adding the Ford Everest to its lineup offers an astounding amount of new job opportunities not only at FMCSA, but in its supplier network as well.

At Eagle Ford we are excited to launch this much anticipated Everest model and are proud to be associated with a brand that is committed to developing the South African market, bringing world-class manufacturing to our shores.
