Ford Fiesta goes to new heights… It all looks very sedate as it rolls off of the production line in Cologne, Germany, but don’t be fooled because the new Ford Fiesta ST is anything but. This incredible piece of hi-tech Ford engineering is capable of rocketing from 0 to 100km/h in less than 7 seconds. 6,9 to be exact! Are we really talking Fiesta here?[break]Even more remarkable is that it achieves it with the world-beating 1.6 litre Ford EcoBoost engine.[break]Which not only means incredible performance but outstanding economy.[break]But more of that later…[break]With a top speed of 220 km/h the Ford Fiesta ST petrol engine generates 132kW and 240 Nm of torque.[break]It also offers a new chassis, steering and brakes; enhanced Torque Vectoring Control and 3-mode Electronic Stability Control.[break] And as you’d expect from this boy racer icon, the stylish ST also features unique honeycomb mesh grille, dramatic rear diffuser element; and Recaro seats…what a vehicle!![break]Focus ST Production But back to its fuel economy. It’s a vehicle that not only provides massive performance but it’s also incredibly fuel-efficient and as environmentally-friendly as you can possibly get. A fuel consumption of just 5.9 l/100km gives off just 138 g/km CO2 emissions.

The new Fiesta ST is also equipped with MyKey, a Ford-exclusive technology that allows parents to encourage safer driving and limit their teenager’s exposure to risk at the wheel; and SYNC™ – Ford’s voice-activated in-car connectivity system.

And the big question you’re all asking of course, is “when is it coming here?”

According to Eagle Ford Dealer Principal, John Landey, it’s due here in the second quarter of this year between April and June.[break] “And you can be sure” he adds, “that Eagle will be first in town to be selling them.”

So keep your eyes wide open…you do not want to miss it.
